On March 14, 2025, a delegation of teachers and students from the Shatin Methodist College and Kwai Chung Methodist College visited The University of Hong Kong (HKU) for an enriching educational experience. The event commenced with a welcoming address by Prof. K.W. CHOW, setting a positive tone for the day’s activities. The centrepiece of the visit was an interactive workshop entitled “Empowering the Future: Hands-on Wireless Charging Workshop”. This workshop aimed to provide students with a fundamental understanding of wireless charging technology, its mechanisms, and practical applications, while also fostering interest in engineering and innovation, and promoting the HKU Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE).
The workshop was held in CB-102, the newly renovated Undergraduate Teaching Lab in the Chow Yei Ching Building, where students engaged in hands-on activities designed to ignite their curiosity and enhance their technical skills. The visit concluded with a guided tour of the Tam Wing Fan Innovation Wing One, offering students a glimpse into HKU’s cutting-edge research and development facility.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Edith NGAI and Prof. Edmund LAM for facilitating connections with both schools. We also extend our sincere thanks to the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and the Innovation Wing for their invaluable support in making this event a success.
