HKU Successfully Hosted the Workshop on Frontiers of Image Science and Visual Computing 2025

The Workshop on Frontiers of Image Science and Visual Computing 2025, organised by Prof. Evan Y. PENG from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at The University of Hong Kong (HKU), and HKU Computational Imaging and Mixed Representation Laboratory (WeLight Lab), and co-organised by the Faculty of Engineering, was successfully held on April 15, 2025, in HKU Main Library.

The workshop aims to encourage innovative spirits, promote excellence and sustain quality, strive for improvement, and connect communities. It attracted over 150 students, researchers and industry professionals, and featured a line-up of esteemed leading experts around the world. These experts engaged in enlightening presentations and discussions on cutting-edge research and insights in the fields of neuroscience, imaging science and visual computing. It has had a significant impact, attracting widespread attention from various sectors, including the investment and industrial communities.
