2025年9月26日至27日，香港大學成功舉辦了題為「網絡與信息技術學科建設及人才培養高端論壇」的一系列活動。本次活動由香港大學主辦、電機電子工程系承辦、工程學院、及由彭禕帆教授領導的計算成像與混合呈現實驗室協辦。旨在匯聚海內外頂尖學者，共同探討網絡安全與信息技術學科的發展方向，並探索創新的人才培養新模式。

作為香港大學的重要師生研討與學術交流活動，我們感謝來自香港大學超過400名的師生、研究人員及技術人員的熱情參與，包括主論壇及方班研討廳的各項活動。
本次論壇特邀中國工程院方濱興院士、鄭緯民院士、戴瓊海院士等多位權威專家，圍繞網絡與信息技術的前沿趨勢、學科建設以及人才生態等主題，發表了精彩的演講。
演講結束後，參加者與嘉賓在輕鬆的氛圍中，一邊享用茶歇，一邊進行學術交流。

方班研討廳由方濱興院士親自指導，匯聚多位高校院士及教授，採用「學生講、師生問、專家評」的深度翻轉課堂模式，促進跨校學術交流與思辨訓練。

From September 26 to 27, 2025, The University of Hong Kong (HKU) successfully hosted a series of events titled “High-Level Forum on Network and Information Technology Discipline Construction and Talent Cultivation”. The event was organised by The University of Hong Kong, hosted by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), co-organised by the Faculty of Engineering, and the WeLight@HKU lab, led by Prof. Evan Y. Peng. It aimed to bring together leading scholars from around the world to jointly discuss the development pathways of cybersecurity disciplines and explore innovative approaches for talent cultivation.

As an important event for research and academic exchange at HKU, we sincerely thank over 400 Faculty members, students, researchers, and technical staff from HKU for their enthusiastic participation, including the main forum and parallel discussion sessions led by Prof. Fang.
The forum featured distinguished academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, including the Prof. Binxing FANG, Prof. Weimin ZHENG and Prof. Qionghai DAI. These scholars delivered insightful keynote speeches on cutting-edge trends in network and information technology, discipline development, and the evolving landscape of talent cultivation.
After the talks, participants and guests enjoyed tea breaks in a relaxed atmosphere, fostering exchanges and networking.

The parallel discussion sessions led by Prof. Binxing FANG gathered other university academicians and professors. It adopted an innovative “student presentation, teacher-student Q&A, and expert evaluation” flipped classroom model to facilitate cross-institutional exchanges and critical thinking training.
^The discussion sessions utilised this innovative teaching approach to facilitate meaningful exchanges.
This event not only served as a platform for research and academic exchange between HKU and other universities from around the world but also provided a valuable opportunity for future scientific research cooperation and talent development. We eagerly look forward to more in-depth exchanges and collaborations in the future, jointly advancing the development of network and information technology disciplines.
