We are excited to celebrate our research postgraduate (PhD) students, Mr. Wenbin ZHOU and Mr. Li LIAO, both supervised by Prof. Evan Yifan PENG, from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Hong Kong (HKU-ECE), securing the China-Korea Display Young Leader Recognition, as well as the Winner of the Display Future Star Cup Innovation Achievement Competition at SID ICDT 2026, one of the top-tier academic and industrial venues in the field!
These prestigious recognitions highlight our department’s innovative teaching, research, and significant contributions to the field of extended reality (XR) and display technologies. The award competitions featured a competitive field, including talented students and even early-career faculty from Korea, Hong Kong SAR, and Chinese Mainland.
