Every year, the Editor and Associate Editors of the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics (TPEL) recognize four first prize papers and six second prize papers deemed best among those published in the Transactions during the preceding calendar year. The selection criteria are mainly based upon the originality, contribution to the field, the extend to which the paper is supported by analysis and experimental evidence, and the quality of the presentation, including the effective use of illustrations. It is our great privilege to report that the IEEE TPEL journal paper entitled “Precise Luminous Flux and Color Control of Dimmable Red-Green-Blue Light-Emitting Diode Systems”, written by Dr. Albert Lee (leading and corresponding author), Prof. S-C. Tan, Prof. Ron Hui, Dr Cheuk Ping Germaine WONG and Dr Kerui LI has won the TPEL First Place Prize Paper Award.
