A group of EEE Master of Science students and those who took ELEC2544 e-Commerce and FinTech visited the Cyberport and Microsoft Head Office on March 11, 2024. Cyberport Manager Mr. Victor Yim introduced the funding and incubation opportunities to the students and encouraged them to apply for the CCMF. Dr. Wilton Fok also shared some successful cases of his students who had set up their startups through the CCMF program.

After the talk, the group visited the Web3.0 Laboratory and learned the latest technologies on Web3.0, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Blockchain, etc.
Students also tried the 3D body scanner which scans their body and converts them into digital avatars for the Metaverse and Augmented Reality.
Then, Dr. Fok led the team to visit the Microsoft Head Office located in Cyberport. Microsoft experts introduced the latest technology in Open AI, Co-pilot, generative AI and ChatGPT.
Finally, the group took a group photo in front of the Microsoft office lobby and concluded the technical visit.
