A group of EEE MSc students joined the China Vision China 10000 Exchange Program and visited Sichuan Chengdu from 30 Jun to 6 Jul 2024. The program was supported by the Ministry of Education of PRC.
Thanks to two EEE MSc graduates Mr. Chen Zhiyong (MSc graduate 2014) and Ms. Liu Xuanyu (MSc graduate 2023, two technical visits to the China Telecom and Sichuan Digital Transportation Technology were organized respectively.
The group visited the China Telecom mobile exhibition centre and learnt the latest communication technology for Drone control. Then Mr. Chen ZhiYong, the Director of 6G industry development, discussed with the MSc students and alumni.

Another visit to the Sichuan Digital Transportation Technology was arranged by alumni Ms. Liu Xuanyu. The technologies on how CCTV, Lidar millimeter-wave radar, remote sensors and mobile edge computing devices were deployed in Highways in Sichuan. Students watched the models to understand the actual real operation of road traffic.
By the end of the visit, Dr. Wilton Fok, presented a souvenir to Ms Liu to thank for the arrangement.
“Our Alumni are our valuation resource, when they studied at HKU, they are proud of being HKU students. Now after they have graduated, we are proud of our alumni.” said Dr. Wilton Fok.
