We are delighted to announce that Dr. Albert T.L. Lee, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, HKU, has recently published a new book entitled “Single-Inductor Multiple-Output Converters” (DOI: 10.1201/9781003239833) in the area of power electronics.
This book offers a holistic and systematic review of all types of single-inductor multiple-output (SIMO) converters, encompassing the definition of key concepts, the derivation of new circuit topologies, extensive discussion of the theoretical underpinnings and operating principles together with key design considerations and techniques for enabling practical implementation. Specific examples of real-world applications of SIMO converters for various types of power conversion are also provided.
This book fills a significant niche in the power electronics literature, which hopefully will lead to a better understanding and appreciation of the subject matter. It can serve equally well as an advanced undergraduate or graduate-level textbook for power electronics courses.
